Here are some pictures of the elephant caves. You can see in the top pictures how many there are and the steepness of the terrain. Elephants are actually extremely adept at maneuvering steep and treacherous terrain. The second photo shows the inside of one of the caves. All of those slash marks are made by elephant tusks.
