Adventure’s Out There!

Eventually. (I don’t arrive in the United Kingdom until 29 Jan.)

Hi, my name is Nick, and I will studying at the University of Bath in Bath, UK, this spring. I am a junior majoring in computer science and math, and I love traveling. This will be my first time in the UK, so I am really excited to experience a new place. I’m looking forward to seeing the beautiful city of Bath, a World Heritage Site, and complete studies in the country of famous mathematicians and computer scientists such as Sir Isaac Newton, Alan Turing, Charles Babbage, and Ada Lovelace.

So while awaiting departure, I have been completing last-minute registration forms and planning a time table (schedule). We don’t enroll in units (courses) until after the first week of classes, but I’m hoping to take some maths and CS units and an elective.

On a non-academic note, I have spent the past couple of days visiting friends back at Penn State. It feels strange walking around campus without a backpack, although I am thoroughly enjoying my extended winter holiday. It’s giving me time to page through British English A to Zed, and play Geoguesser on BBC — Travel. (Can you get over 10,000?)

I’ll start posting late next week, so stay tuned!
