It’s about 3 a.m.
It’s not too weird for me to be up at this time, but tonight it’s partly because I’m excited to fly to Australia tomorrow (while my PSU friends are either celebrating Arts Fest or the last Harry Potter premiere). I’ll be going to school there, in Melbourne, for all of fall semester, which is kind of what this entire blog is about.
We’re supposed to list some of our goals for study abroad in our first entry. I’m not going to lie: I’m a nerd and I already like making lists of goals. Here are a few of mine for this semester:
– Get more experience in Public Relations, which is my major. I like to describe it as a combination of marketing and journalism.
– Experience everything new that I can. I can’t say right now what that includes, but that’s pretty much the point.
– See wild animals. I’m obsessed with them, and Australia is famous for theirs.
– Live in a city. I’ve lived in Pennsylvania all my life, from the country to the ‘burbs to Happy Valley. When I picture myself as an adult, I see myself in a city, so I’m excited to see what it’s really like.
– Master the accent. G’day, mate.
Can’t wait!
