Oops! Catching Up With Events

I had just realized that it’s the third week of school and I haven’t written anything on my blog so far.  Oops. Well in my defense, I barely had time to sleep let alone write a blog; however, since a long break is coming up I decided to actually start catching up.  So, I’ll start at the beginning with my arrival in Japan and orientation week.

Getting Ready to Head Off

This is my last night here in the States and I’m feeling a little anxious and excited to go to Tokyo.  I hope that it will be a fun and exciting experience and that there are no problems there or getting there. Otherwise I might implode.  Other than that I’m practicing my Japanese listening skills by watching anime.

Introduction

After months of stressing, filling out various types of paperwork, dealing with people and getting ready for study abroad, I am definitely ready to head to Tokyo for Spring 2012.

I like to read, draw, drive my sister and mom insane, play an instrument and compose music– although I’m not particularly great at either and then I like learning new languages and about different cultures.  I also like gaming too– Nintendo, Playstation, DS. I’ve recently become interested in Assassin’s Creed, Mortal Kombat and Call of Duty but I’m an avid fan of Crash Bandicoot, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy and Soul Calibur.  I love anime and manga.  Just send me a message if you want to know more about me.

While I’m studying abroad, I hope to not only improve my Japanese but further my understanding of Japanese culture and society, in addition to its role in the global community. Furthermore, I hope to have a wonderful time and meet new people.
